2026 Summer Program Requirements

The mission of Music Columbus is to foster a community where people can prosper in the business of music while contributing to Columbus’ overall cultural and economic growth.

Music Columbus Earn As You Learn Program Overview:

A 8-week program for selected participants interested in job opportunities within the music business. The program offers specialized training through direct experience, working alongside mentors in the Columbus creative industry.

Who Can Apply? 

  • Individuals 18 years or older that have graduated high school by the start of the program
  • Live near or in Columbus
  • Who have not participated in the Earn As You Learn program before
  • Have excellent communication skills 
  • Have a strong attention to detail with good work ethic 
  • Is able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Works well independently and as a team member 

Requirements:

  • Must participate in the full length of the program 
  • Must attend the Program launch & end lunch
  • Must volunteer at (1) Music Columbus Event: https://musiccolumbus.com/volunteer/
  • Must submit bi-weekly timesheets/invoices
  • Must submit bi-weekly reflections & photos/videos showcasing internship experience

Compensation:

  • This program is a paid internship. This is part-time with a wage of $15 per hour, 40 hours per bi-weekly pay period for 8 weeks at a Columbus business through Music Columbus.
